Redken Extreme Play Safe 230 Heat Protection 250ml

Redken Extreme Play Safe 230 Heat Protection is a fortifying leave-in treatment designed for hair that’s regularly styled with heat. The creamy formula is infused with plant proteins, including wheat, soy and corn, plus tourmaline, to help support the hair fibre and smooth the look of damaged lengths. Hair feels conditioned and more manageable, while the product works to protect against temperatures up to 230°C, helping to reduce the appearance of split ends and surface breakage over time.

Ideal for those with damaged or fragile hair, this treatment fits easily into an existing routine. Simply apply to clean, towel-dried hair before blow-drying or using straighteners and curling tools. There’s no need to rinse, so it layers comfortably with other styling products. With regular use, it helps hair feel stronger, look smoother and better withstand daily heat styling, making it a reassuring step for anyone who wants to maintain a polished finish without sacrificing the look of hair health.

How to Use:
Prep hair by washing with shampoo and conditioner, then gently towel-dry. Apply a small, coin- or dime-sized amount of Redken Extreme Play Safe 230 Heat Protection to damp hair, focusing on fragile or damaged mid-lengths and ends. Comb through to distribute evenly, then blow-dry and style with heated tools as desired. Do not rinse out.

Frequency:
Use whenever you heat style clean, damp hair, or as needed according to the product instructions.

Application Technique:
Work the product between your hands and smooth it through sections of damp hair from mid-lengths to ends, avoiding the roots if hair is fine. Use a wide-tooth comb or fingers to ensure even coverage before drying and styling.

Best Practices:
Apply to clean hair for best results and adjust the amount used according to hair length and thickness. Allow the product to absorb briefly before using a hairdryer or styling tools. For a complete strengthening routine, pair with a complementary shampoo, conditioner or mask from the Extreme range.

Safety Tips:
For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes; if contact occurs, rinse immediately with water. Discontinue use if irritation occurs and keep out of reach of children. Always follow any additional guidance printed on the packaging.
